I just read the few first chapters...can tell this book will prepare me for the EIT test. Well written and covers everything you need to know.
I ordered this book as a git for my son. He told me he liked the contents of the book and it is a big help related to his job but he just borrowed from somebody. So I bought it so he can have something for his own use.
I've used this book to study for the PE test. While the content is pretty comprehensive, I have problems getting over the blatant typos and misprints. Many equations have sign conventions wrong and some are written just wrong. So, if you have a good background to spot this sort of thing, by all means go ahead and use this material; otherwise, consider this purchase carefully.
I bought this as a study guide for an upcoming test. It was not what I thought it was. It is better used as a reference book and not study guide. I returned it for a refund.
I just took the Electrical Power PE (Professional Engineer) exam - this was one of the reference books I brought to the exam. I used it more than any of my other references. It has many of the formulas you'll need (including lighting). It was indispensible for my study sessions too, I got to know the book very well. It breaks each concept down into easily understood basics, then builds on them. I highly recommend it for anyone taking the Electrical Power PE exam, or anyone in the Electrical Power industry as a handy reference for your desk.
I am currently studying to take the electrician's exam. The EC&M Electrical calculations handbook helps alot when it comes to electrical calculations and estimating
